"February Challenge days 3&4"
Chalk Pastel
This is my first time using chalk pastel and I have to say that it was pretty fun, especially on wood, and with the fun pattern. It is a single piece of Chex cereal for "Breakfast". Note to Ms. Schick: I showed you this piece finished in class on Friday, but forgot to post it until now.

"February Challenge days 1&2"
Colored Pencil
For the prompt "new" I made this ground creature rising from the earth in the center of a set of mysterious pillars. I really have no clue what I'm doing with colored pencils so I'm overall pretty impressed with myself for this piece. Of course it could be better, but I'm proud of it. Given more time, I would add a sky, and would've made the piece bigger and more detailed.

"Strobe"
Charcoal
Continuing my charcoal portrait series, I bring you "Strobe", a different way of looking at femininity in light. If I had the motivation, I'd start this one over. I don't necessarily dislike it, but it could be better, and I made a few mistakes early on that affected the rest of the piece.

"???"
Pen on Canvas
This piece was largely a disaster. It was going to be something completely different, but due to a combination of me being unable to find a large square canvas, not being able to think up enough ideas to fill up the entire canvas, and the difficulty of using pen on canvas, I ended up with this. I like the concepts of a handful of the things on here, but separately and not in this format.

"Bear in a Bed"
Acrylic Via Palette Knife
Palette knives are so much fun. I am in love with the bear and bed, like the walls, and hate the bed-stand and floor. I defaulted too quickly to blue, and blues and reds together give me headaches after "Moulin Rouge". The bed-stand is also out of proportion.

"Tiki"
Acrylic on wood
The yellow lines you see are actually carved into the wood. This piece was pretty experimental for me in a number of ways, including the intense color.

"Yearning, an Idol That Feasts"

This is a mask I made for a haunted house I designed. It is an escaped experiment in an immoral, somewhat satanic science laboratory.
